Flight Simulation

A decent flight sim will cost you around £100 and pay you dividends regardless of your level and ability. In addition, it gives you the access needed to practice at times that fit around your other commitments.

The bottom line is, a quality flight sim will quickly pay for itself 10 times over, and massively accelerate your learning curve.

To get any real value out of a flight sim, you really need to use an RC helicopter transmitter, ideally the same transmitter used to fly your models. Many of the Ready to Fly (RTF) helicopter packages come with transmitters that can be connected to a flight sim via USB cable or wireless USB dongle. Some flight sims can be purchased with a dummy transmitter for sole use with that flight sim, a good option for those without a transmitter.
